It took getting ill myself to bring me to starting my healing career.
It took getting ill myself to bring me to starting my healing career. A healer must first work upon themselves – I believe that I can only help a person to the level of illumination, health and wellbeing that I have achieved myself. My goal when I was a teenager was to be a nurse – that was what really inspired me to get through school – my own health and physical well-being is what stood in the way of taking the nurse training spot I had been awarded. At 17 having my one and only career goal move outside of my grasp allowed me to flounder with no real direction until I got stuck into my own sense of ‘have to’ and ‘should’. I worked for over 20 years in the corporate world (office management / financial controller / bookkeeping work). Always a high achiever, I excelled at every job I put my hand to and consequently was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. In hindsight I believe that by ignoring and forgetting what my original desire was (to be involved with healing work) – I created my illness. |
